21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

Acts 2:42 (NLT) - All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.

The early church experienced crazy growth. In Acts chapter two 3,000 people where added to the church in one day. The question I've always had is: How did they keep up with all the growth?

I believe this passage of scripture gives us an insight to how they did it. They did it through small groups. At My City Church our small groups are called CREWS. CREWS are small gatherings of 10-15 people who meet at different cafés and restaurants around Omaha to hang, eat, and talk about life and the weekends message. This is the model the early church followed. Let's look at what they devoted themselves too.

1. The Apostles Teachings
2. Fellowship
3. Sharing a meal
4. Prayer

This is exactly what we do in CREWS at My City Church. People gather together to:

1. Talk about the weekends message (The Apostles Teachings)
2. Hangout (Fellowship)
3. Have dinner together (Sharing a meal)
4. Share Prayer Requests and Pray for each other (Prayer)

It is through My City Crews that each person can find people to do life with. As believers we grow in our faith inside the context of relationship and community. This is the model the early church followed and it is the model we follow.

In SZN 1 at My City Church we are launching 24 CREWS all over the city. Let's be in prayer for the leaders and each person that attends. Pray they would experience life-change in the context of community and our church would feel like a HOME for many.

As we pray for CREWS let's pray for the following:

1. CREW Leaders
2. Future Leaders to be raised up
3. Relationships to be built
4. Life-Change that needs to happen

Our goal is by the end of 2018 to have 56 CREWS all across the city.
